Dubai day trip: Atlantis’ Aquaventure water park and Lost Chambers
It was without doubt that I said yes when theAtlantis Hotel offered me an invitation to examine their Aquaventure water park. Then I recalled that I don’t know how to swim. Oops. The narrative goes something like this: about two decades ago, I came dangerously close to drowning (coincidentally at a water park in Canada). I went into great detail about how I came close to death here. As a result, I avoided swimming in any body of water that was larger and deeper than my bathtub for many years after that.
- Because to Liebling’s encouragement, I decided to enroll in swim classes in Hong Kong, where I improved my ragged, clumsy breathing technique and mastered a passable breast stroke.
- It was for this reason that I was apprehensive about visiting the Atlantis’Aquaventurewater park in Dubai.
- The assortment of water slides is watched over by a flock of departing employees, and the variety of pools is filled with water that only reached up to my chest while I was standing in it.
- In reality, just the opposite is true.
- Liebling and I swam gently on the tubes in the river that encircled the complex and hurled ourselves down slides that were both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time, and I had a great time.
- Yes!
- You will be dropped into a tank filled with exotic and fear-inducing sharks after riding this massive slide that is almost 30 meters tall and slightly more than 60 meters in length (which you are of course protected from thanks to a very thick pane of glass).
However, like a true big girl, I rose to the occasion and plunged in.
The lovely man-made beach beckoned us after we had exhausted ourselves with our efforts on the slides and water slides.
I had the impression that I was in the tropics.
We next went to another Atlantis site, The Lost Chambers Aquarium, for a few hours.
We even managed to track down Nemo!
Exceptionally cool.
My only gripe was the weather—don’t be fooled by the pictures—it was unusually chilly for Dubai, even at this time of year!
Having said that, I assume that for 350 days out of the year, this is not a problem; after all, we are in the desert after all!
Would you be interested in going? Disclaimer: I was a guest of Atlantis the Palm when I visited Aquaventure and the Lost Chambers, but all thoughts expressed are my own. Psst! Lastly, if you haven’t done so already, please “like” me on Facebook. Your assistance is much appreciated!
Leap of Faith – Scariest Water Slide!
One of the most terrifying water slides on the planet, this one is NINE storeys high and nearly vertical. The most fantastic part, of course! It brings you right into the middle of a shark lagoon! Without a doubt, in a glass tube! If you are in Dubai and are looking for some thrills and spills, this water slide is for you! This water slide is located in Atlantis, The Palm, and is known as ” Aqua-venture “. It is a monster of a slide! Standing tall in the midst of the water park is what appears to be a Mayan temple, with three or four water slides emerging from it and leading directly into a massive tank with sharks and sting ray fish, according to the description.
‘The Leap of Faith’ is a term that is well-deserved.
As soon as we arrived to the water park, the first thing I did was run over to my sister and convince her to do the Leap of Faith!
Nonetheless, everyone want to participate!
Because, after all, it is a slide that will be remembered for a lifetime and is absolutely worth capturing.
or (based only on the responses of others) Definitely not for the faint-hearted!
After a 15-minute wait, it was my sister’s turn to take the stage.
She rose to her feet and walked back to the slide.
Because I’m her older sister, I assured her that everything will be alright.
There’s nothing to be concerned about!
She was the one who pulled it off!
My heart was racing as the teacher instructed me on how to complete the slide.
Because “Hell guy!
“It’s obscenely vertical!” I’ve always had a thing for water slides, and there have been instances when I’ve gotten stuck between the slides and had to trek all the way to the other side of the slide to get out.
This has happened to me several times!
However, I couldn’t bring myself to back down.
She would murder me if I didn’t go down the slide, for God’s sake.
I laid myself down on the slide, crossed my knees, and let go of the grip, and.pooofffff!
I hadn’t truly opened my eyes till I heard the sound of water splashing on the window.
I’m not serious!
I took a glance around at the sharks and fish in the tank, feeling proud of myself for what I had just accomplished!
As I made my way out of the water, she greeted me with a smile and embraced me like a teddy bear.
WE TOOK THE RISK OF OUR LIVES!
We had the feeling that “TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING.” Do you believe in the meaning of the saying? Yes, without a doubt! P.S. Have you ever gone on any excursions with your brothers and sisters? Please share your tale with me. I’d love to hear what you have to say!
