Some Quick Tips

  1. The RTA test When driving slowly, the likelihood of a failure increases. Not too fast and not too slow, be confident, and drive in a comfortable state of mind
  2. And Before starting, your automobile first adjusts the vehicle mirror to provide a clean view of the road, and then it begins going after passing through the checkpoint. When changing lanes, doing a U-turn, turning, or approaching a junction, utilize your mirrors and indicators to guide you through the situation. After doing a U-turn, go to the slow lane. I never changed lanes on the road until the examiners requested me to
  3. Moving from the slow lane to the fast lane requires increasing your vehicle’s velocity within the legal limit. When approaching a roundabout, reduce your vehicle’s speed, keep an eye on the left side to ensure that no vehicles are approaching from that direction, and then enter the roundabout. Change lanes only if you discover that the slow and fast lanes have been freed and that no fast vehicle is approaching.

As a matter of fact, there are several other elements that must be taken into account during this procedure. This article is for anyone who is ready to take an RTA driving exam and wants to know how to pass it on the first try. If this describes you, you have come to the correct spot. This article will provide you with some helpful hints that will assist you in passing the test on your first attempt!

1 WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHES

As a matter of fact, there are several more elements that must be taken into account during this procedure. It is possible to pass the RTA driving exam on the first try if you prepare properly. If you are preparing to take the RTA driving test, you have come to the correct spot. Some helpful pointers will be provided in this post, which will assist you in passing the exam on your first try!

2 AVOID UNNECESSARY QUESTIONS

In addition, because you are not the examiner, you are not permitted to ask questions. Do not bombard the examiner with a barrage of questions, and be certain to do what the examiner instructs and to follow the directions to the letter. The presence of unneeded queries on your part is seen as a danger.

3 DO NOT FORGET THE TRIVIAL THINGS

Examiners are watching you from the beginning to the completion of the test – from the moment you get into your automobile until the very last moment when you get out of the car after the exam is over. As a result, avoid forgetting to do things like adjusting the mirror and your seat, among other things. Last but not least, make sure you wear your seatbelt because it might make or break your first impression on the examiner.

4 MAINTAIN AN APPROPRIATE SPEED

Be confident when driving your automobile and make sure to keep it moving at a safe, reasonable speed. This is the most important factor, and as previously said, your examiner is paying close attention to you, including your facial expressions, while you are driving.

So, maintain your composure, relax your mind and body, and drive with as much confidence as you possibly can. Driving too slowly or too quickly is completely out of the question. If you are unable to maintain a sufficient level of speed, the examiner will not provide you a passing grade.

5 KEEP AN EYE ON THE GEAR AND HANDBRAKE

Before starting the engine of your automobile, be sure that the handbrake is in the on position. These little details are significant. If the handbrake is in the down position, raise the handbrake before starting the car. Similarly, be certain that the vehicle is in neutral before starting it. If you have an automatic gearbox, check sure it is in the ‘P’ position, which means parking.

6THE MAIN ROAD CAN BE FATAL

The RTA driving exam in Dubai includes a portion in which you must enter the main road. Consequently, before proceeding into the main road, make sure that your side mirrors are in working order. Perform a blind spot check as soon as possible following the check. To ignore these two factors has been shown to be a deadly error that will end in failure. As a result, never make this mistake again.

7 RESPECT THE DISTANCE BETWEEN CARS

Regardless matter whether you are a beginner or veteran driver, you must be familiar with the “two-second rule.” The two-second rule states that you must maintain a minimum space of two seconds between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. As a result, make sure to maintain this spacing during your examination.

8 CHANGING THE LANE

In the event that you are ready to change lanes, be sure to check your side mirrors and, on top of everything, complete a blind spot check. When changing lanes, always make use of your turn indicators. If you are transitioning from a slow lane to a fast lane, increase your speed (while remaining under the speed limit). Similarly, if you are transitioning from a fast lane to a slow lane, slow down your pace.

9 BLIND SPOT

We have asked you to complete a blind spot check on a number of occasions because, yes, it is that critical! Make certain that you do so because if you do not, you will fail the test and will have to do it once again. To check for blind spots, look in your side and rear-view mirrors, as well as over your shoulders, while you drive. The steering wheel must be maintained in a steady state at all times. Change the lanes when you’ve finished.

10 PARKING

For the sake of the test, if you are required to park your automobile, please make certain that you do not park in front of an entrance or a gate. When parked in an authorized parking area or parallel to the road, it is the best option.

11 TAKE IT EASY ON THE BRAKES

It is not a good idea to apply heavy brakes since it is quite uncomfortable for both the examiner and the vehicles behind you. Furthermore, using harsh brakes demonstrates that you are out of control of your car and that you are disoriented.

OTHER MINOR THINGS

When doing a U-turn, slow down your vehicle and always use your turn signals to signal your intentions. Whether you are approaching a roundabout, check to see if any vehicles are approaching from the right-hand side. Then go cautiously onto the roundabout, making use of the indicators as you depart it.

r/dubai – Dubai RTA Road Test – Pass on first try ! My experience

Hello and welcome to everyone! I’m just posting this in the hopes that it would be useful to anyone searching for information about learning to drive in Dubai, as well as the renowned RTA road exams. In addition, during this epidemic era, I had the pleasure of passing my driving test on the first attempt! In other words, I am a person who was born and raised in the UAE but who had to leave the country for education. I returned to the country and obtained employment in March 2020, but everything came to a grinding halt as a result of the epidemic and ensuing shutdown.

  • Obtaining a driving license in the United Arab Emirates!
  • In Qusais, UAE, on June 24, 2020, I began working on my driving file with Emirates Driving Institute.
  • I am quite pleased with my results (Please dont underestimate the parking tests, practice well with your instructor).
  • I scheduled the exam on a Saturday because I had heard that it was best to do it on a Saturday and since I was working on all other weekdays at the time.
  • I arrived at the RTA test area at EDI Qusais 30 minutes before the exam was scheduled to start (Please make sure you reach on time to avoid last minute panic and tension.) Before the test, use the restroom and drink plenty of water.
  • Consider the scenario in which you obtain your license.
  • I waited at the test center, and at exactly 11.45 a.m., an RTA examiner approached me and asked for my Emirates ID, informed me that we were going to do the test, and advised me not to worry, but rather to imagine myself driving somewhere.

(Due to COVID measures, there will be no other candidates in the automobile, therefore you and the examiner will be the only ones in the car).

He advised me to take it easy and go whenever I was ready.

The test lasted exactly 10 minutes and 9 seconds, according to the results.

I was more content than I had been when I received a job or my Master’s degree!

It took me 4.5 months and around 5500 Dirhams in total (I was not on a fixed course and had to pay for additional courses and unsuccessful attempts on my own time).

Consider taking the fixed-price course if you are not sure enough (it will spare you a great deal of stress). For individuals taking the road test, I would like to provide the following recommendations:

  1. DO NOT GET TERRIFIED! Yes, I understand that it is easier said than done, but it truly does make a difference. From what I have noticed, the RTA examiners are pleasant and do not have a personal issue with you or your family. YOU WILL PASS IF YOU OBSERVE THE RULES EXACTLY AND DRIVE CONFIDENTLY
  2. Attempt to schedule the test on a Saturday when there are less vehicles on the road, and if feasible, try to secure the first available session. Arrive at the testing center early, 30 to 45 minutes before the scheduled time
  3. You don’t want last-minute stress and strain
  4. Drink plenty of water, use the restroom frequently, and maintain your composure. Visualize yourself receiving your driving license in the United Arab Emirates. Dress in a professional manner (doesnt mean you have to go in looking like James Bond in black tie, but wear clean and pressed clothes, put on a decent perfume and look smart.) Do not walk up in flip flops or shorts, looking like you just rolled out of bed, smelling like the last time you had a shower was before World War II
  5. Instead, dress professionally. Have a confident demeanor and welcome your examiner with a grin. The examiners are normally kind and will advise you to relax and drive calmly
  6. But, DO NOT DRIVE SLOWLY. The RTA despises it when you drive slowly
  7. Driving slowly demonstrates a lack of confidence. Drive at the posted speed limit with assurance. (It is OK to exceed the speed limit by up to 5 kilometers per hour). But, especially in school zones, make sure you adhere to the posted speed restrictions. Keep an eye out for PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS! It is important to STOP the automobile when you observe a pedestrian approaching the crossing or waiting to cross
  8. Always STOP the car at the STOP line
  9. They may try to fool you by leading you to a point where there is no STOP board but there is a strong white line
  10. If you see this, STOP the car. (If you don’t, you’ll flunk the test on the spot.) Do not try to dispute with or challenge the examiner
  11. Instead, simply follow his instructions and leave it at that. Contrary to widespread advice I’ve heard, he will not instruct you to engage in dangerous moves. Always use caution when changing lanes, and ALWAYS DO THE HEAD CHECKS! This is quite crucial. Center mirror, indicator, side mirror, and head check again to see if the center mirror is safe, then change it. When merging onto a main road, do not panic or take needless risks
  12. Instead, if there are cars approaching, stop the automobile at the merging point and proceed only when it is safe to do so. Don’t forget to shift into P or neutral after the test and release the handbrake when you’ve finished. Inquire with the examiner about whether or not you should switch off the automobile. Making rapid turns, stopping suddenly or swerving suddenly with the car is not recommended
  13. Ensure that you are in the correct lane while entering a roundabout
  14. Use turn signals to indicate your heading, and always use your right turn signal when departing a roundabout. While learning with your teacher, request that he take you on one of the test roads near your institute. This will help you become more comfortable with the surroundings. (Although most of them do, some of them are jerks who simply want to get the work done while wasting time by taking long routes)
  15. Please DO NOT TAILGATE! Maintain a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. Follow the two-second rule at all times. Carry out all of the pre-driving inspections, including checking the mirrors, the seat and the steering adjustment
See also:  What To Wear For Dubai Desert Safari? (Correct answer)

These are the most important items to take note of. Maintain your composure and proceed into the room; you will almost certainly pass on your first attempt. (If you feel you need additional lessons before the exam, go ahead and attend them; failing and waiting for the next classes and booking a test is preferable to failing and having to start again!) Wishing you all the best of luck!

Major and Minor Mistakes list in Dubai driving test

Which parts of your driving test trip in Dubai do you despise the most, and which parts do you like the most? Surely, if you have had at least one last RTA exam, you will have discovered this. You enjoy getting your exam score sheet with the outcome of Pass, and you despise failing, especially if you make a slew of blunders in the process. However, there are occasions when we fail exams and receive a test result document that contains a list of big and small faults made during the driving test.

Using our deep-dive assessment tests, you may determine your current knowledge level before taking the final test.

Immediate fails

If you make any of the faults listed in the category, you will receive an immediate failing grade. If, for example, a candidate changes lanes without checking to see if the road is clear, he or she will be disqualified at the time of the change. In that instance, there is no need for additional testing. The sorts of blunders that fall under the category of imminent failures are as follows:

  • Initiating an activity that will result in the involvement of the examiner

This is analogous to the candidate making the incorrect decision to merge onto a major highway without first determining whether or not vehicles are approaching from the left. It states that the student has driven in such a way that -it has caused a collision or accident with any other car or with any objects such as pavements or posts, or that it was about to hit an object when another car driver suddenly turned, or that the examiner assisted in avoiding such a collision or accident.

  • The candidate’s grade will be affected if he or she does not have sufficient control over the vehicle to avoid being pulled over by the police or other law enforcement officers. Examples include failing to stop at the designated spot or swerving when changing lanes, all of which result in this mistake.
  • Failure to perform the needed technique
  • Failure to follow the prescribed procedure Failure to check to see if the lane is free before changing lanes

Minor mistakes

Minor errors are those that may be made by new drivers as well as by more experienced drivers on the road. During your driving exam, the same kind of faults will be scored again and over again. For example, if you swerve during a lane change more than once, it will be counted as the number of times you made the mistake in the first place. The sorts of blunders that come under the category of small mistakes are as follows:

Mirror

  • Neither signals nor brakes before checking his or her reflections in the mirrors.

Lane change

More information about correct lane change may be found here.

Approach

Does not yield the right of way to the vehicle

Turn right

The driver does not begin in the proper lane or line of traffic.

  • Does not adhere to road markers
  • Does not complete a turn in a single lane.

Progress

Drives at a rate that is excessive for the road conditions

Position on Road

  • Drives to the right or left of the center of the lane excessively
  • Using the wrong lane when driving

Safety margin

Drives too far to the right or left of the center of the lane. Using the wrong lane when driving a car

Parking

  • Does not do a head check in order to check for blind spots

Conclusion

Please keep in mind that the applicant fails if any instant faults or small mistakes totaling more than 11 are made by him or her. You will pass if you make less than or equal to 11 small errors. However, if you have an immediate failure, the outcome will be something you do not want to be in. Do you have any additional errors on your score sheet from the testing process? Please give your opinion on this matter.

Make the Initial Adjustments Quickly

In order to pass the driving test, you must demonstrate self-assurance and understanding of proper adjusting techniques when it is your turn to sit in the driver’s seat for the exam. Make the initial changes as soon as possible, including the adjustment of the seat and mirrors. This is critical since any extra delay in this process will give the examiner an unfavorable impression of your driving abilities. Occasionally, drivers attempt to impress the examiners by exuding excessive confidence and devoting either an excessive amount of time or insufficient time to these improvements.

Don’t Apply Sudden Brakes

When they spot a person crossing the road during the driving test, some drivers use quick brakes and put on their warning lights to warn oncoming traffic. Drivers may use their brakes without first checking their rear-view mirror for rapidly approaching cars from behind, which can result in a rear-end collision. Making rapid brake applications in this way demonstrates uneasiness and a lack of confidence in the driver’s attitude, and it can almost surely be a reason for failing the driving examination.

As a result, it is recommended that the driver always keep an eye on the cars in front of him or her using the rear-view mirror and only use the brakes if a pedestrian crosses the road.

Stay Calm When You are Asked to Drive the Car

The majority of the time, two or three drivers take the driving test in the same automobile. When you are asked to drive the automobile after the other driver has completed the test, maintain your composure and allow the other driver to become comfortable in the backseat before you begin driving the car. Remember that, according to the newly modified traffic legislation, all of the occupants of the vehicle must wear seatbelts, so when the other driver gets in the car, be sure to remind him or her to do so as well.

It should be highlighted that you should never drive the automobile before ensuring that everyone is properly buckled up.

Be Careful While Changing the Lanes

Switching between lanes is the most challenging portion of the driving test since it assesses the driver’s ability to maintain control and control of the vehicle while on the road. During the examination, drivers must pay attention to the examiner’s instructions and only change lanes when the road is clear.

You should refuse to change lanes if the examiner asks you to do so and you can see rapidly approaching cars in your rear-view mirror. You should then wait until the lane is free before switching.

Follow the Instructions of Examiner

Make certain that you follow the examiner’s directions when you are taking the driving test. The examiner is constantly aware of the safety standards in place and will never ask you to do anything that would jeopardize public safety on the roads. However, in order to assess your driving abilities, the examiner may ask you to perform a number of seemingly insignificant tasks, like as applying the emergency brake, parking the car in front of a gate, or crossing the yellow line. It can always help you improve your score and expedite the process of getting your driving license if you follow all of the examiner’s directions in a professional manner, which may entail either denying or delayed responding depending on the instruction provided.

Don’t Press the Accelerator in Neutral

Some drivers, after passing their driving test, have a tendency to hit the accelerator while the automobile is still in neutral gear. Drivers should avoid making such a mistake since doing so will result in a failure on your driving test. It is sufficient for you to maintain your confidence throughout the test and even after you have completed it in order to pass your driving test because this is something that the examiner will closely scrutinize.

Practice for a Driving Test without Actually Driving

Since it is completely banned to drive any car on the road while you are attending the training sessions and have not been awarded a driving license, you will be unable to prepare for the driving test by practicing behind the wheel of one. However, by riding in the car with a relative or friend who has a driver’s license and has a lot of driving experience, you may still pick up a few driving tips. You can really learn a lot when riding in the front seat with an experienced driver by seeing how the driver applies the brakes, changes lanes, adjusts the steering, and manages the car at various speeds while you are in the front seat with an experienced driver.
