Fun things to do and tips for exploring Dubai Marina

What can you anticipate when visiting or staying in the Dubai Marina section of the city, which is considered the epicenter of Dubai’s cosmopolitan side? If you had asked me 10 years ago if I would consider residing in Dubai Marina, I would have laughed and said it was too far away from the airport and too much of a concrete jungle. The times have changed, and while Dubai Marina is a significant distance away from Dubai International Airport (about 30 minutes in a taxi if there is no traffic), it is no longer a soulless concrete jungle and is now the ideal place to base yourself for a longer vacation stay in Dubai or if you simply enjoy spending time in the company of amazing urban scenery and nightlife, it is the perfect place to base yourself for an extended vacation stay in Dubai.

We’ll cover all you need to know about Dubai Marina in our visitors guide.

After serving the entire Dubai Marina area in a circut, the Dubai Tram then continues on to the Dubai Media City neighborhood and Knowledge Village. It may be a speedy and simple method to commute from point A to point B — provided that the train is traveling in the direction you require! Otherwise, sometimes it might be easier to handle distances on foot, along the coastline you can escape the traffic lights that the trams need to stop at.

However, keep in mind that the Palm Monorail is privately managed and not a part of the Dubai RTA public transportation system that accepts the Nol card, therefore there are extra (and extremely expensive) costs to pay to access the Palm Monorail.

Irrespective matter whether you intend to spend a day or make Dubai Marina the starting point of your Dubai vacation, you will not be disappointed – it is certainly worthwhile spending the extra travel time to explore a newer area of the city. It is possible that Dubai Marina is not the greatest choice for you if you are not a fan of skyscrapers and urban living – which is understandable; we understand that this is not everyone’s cup of tea.
