There are a plethora of restaurants and ice cream stores lining the sidewalks, so consider having lunch or supper in this neighborhood one day.

21. Dubai Boasts 350 Sunny Days Per Year

Finally, but certainly not least, let us talk about climate change. Yes, it does become really hot in the summer, which is something that not everyone will enjoy. Heat aside, Dubai boasts around 350 sunny days per year on average, which is very close to the number of sunny days in Southern California!

How can you possibly be miserable in one of the most beautiful areas on the planet when you live in such a beautiful place?! If this isn’t one of the most compelling reasons to travel to Dubai, I’m not sure what else could be.

22. Take a Ride on the World’s Tallest Ferris Wheel

The world’s largest Ferris wheel, which is located in Dubai, is scheduled to open to the public in 2021. The Ain Dubai tower, which stands around 820 feet tall, offers spectacular views of the Dubai skyline. Almost twice as tall as the London Eye (around 440 feet tall), Ain Dubai outshines its predecessor, the High Roller, which had previously held the distinction of highest Ferris wheel (at 550 feet tall.) This ferris wheel can accommodate up to 1,750 riders at a time and allows you to consume food and beverages as you ride.

8. Kissing is a no-no

Even the most discerning spa connoisseur will find something to rave about – and for those who are unfamiliar with luxury spas, nothing will quite compare to what they will experience in Dubai. Avoid the beauty clinics found in shopping malls (although they offer a good mani-pedi), and instead book a stay at one of the luxury hotels — they’re expensive, but well worth it. Jumeriah Zabeel Sarayand is a name in the music industry. The Palace Downtown Dubai hotels are exceptionally nice, and there are frequently discounts available (especially during the summer months).

12. Malls are actually quite fun

Pay little attention to the folks who smell the beautiful malls in Dubai. Sure, they aren’t “culturally enriching,” but they are tremendously entertaining. In one of these sparkling temples of capitalism, you might easily lose track of time. Aquariums, ski slopes, ice rinks, movies, and other attractions are all available. A complete ‘district’ (district!) dedicated to shoes can be found at the Dubai Mall, which is the most impressive of the bunch.
