Let’s start from the very beginning of the story.

Day 1: The Burj Khalifa

Morning: If you want to get the most out of your Dubai holiday, it’s preferable to arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the evening rather than the morning. One of Dubai’s greatest assets is its hotel industry. A stay in any of the hotels would be not only comfortable, but also opulent in terms of amenities. It would be wise to consider any of the hotels operated by the Jumeirah Group as outstanding choices. You should have breakfast at your hotel before setting out on your first trip in Dubai.

  1. Architecture that is both magnificent and yet incomprehensible is one of Dubai’s most notable attractions.
  2. These two structures are fortunate for travelers in that they are among the most popular tourist sites in Dubai, and there are several guided tours available to ensure that tourists get exactly what they desire.

In Dubai, there is no shortage of glitz, glamour, luxury, and indulgence. It is home to one of the most stunning cityscapes on the planet, and it is thought that nothing is impossible in this magical city. This appears to be the case given the presence of the world’s tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa, which is 828 meters tall, and a collection of man-made islands depicting ‘The World.’ So, how much time do you think you’ll need to view everything?

Length of Stay

Other visitors come to unwind; they might easily spend two weeks lying around the pool or on the beach if they so desired.

If you are visiting Dubai for the first time, I recommend that you stay for at least a week.

Then, when you go back home, you can start thinking about your next trip over; you’ll soon realize that there is always more to see and do in the area.

It is possible to reach the summit of this winter paradise via regular ski lifts.

  • You can basically eat from whatever cuisine you want here.
  • It is worthwhile to take a stroll around the Dubai Fountain.

The grounds of the Palace Downtown hotel are worth exploring, and the Burj Park is the site of several festivities. Several sculptures can be seen on Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, including the Wings of Mexico Statue, which is a favorite location for Instagram photographs.

Day 2 – Beaches and the Marina

Going to the beach is one of the most enjoyable things to do in Dubai. Your best chance is to arrive there early in the morning before it gets too hot and the crowds start to form. It is entirely up to you which beach you choose to visit. Kite Beach is popular because it is not overcrowded and because it offers a variety of amenities such as bathrooms and restaurants. The Public Beach is located a short distance west of Kite Beach and is preferred by many residents since it has less visitors and provides a nice view of the Burj Al Arab.

  • Regardless matter where you wind up, you should stop for lunch at the Marina.
  • Similar to the Dubai Mall, you’ll discover a variety of foreign eateries in this location.
  • After you’ve finished dining, take a stroll around the neighborhood and take in the stores and art.
  • Some of these cruises include meals, so you may pick and choose what you want to experience.

Day 3 – Old meets new

As you are probably aware, Dubai has seen substantial transformation over the previous 25 years. While most people are familiar with pictures of contemporary Dubai, Al Fahidi nevertheless retains a significant amount of its historical significance. Historically significant area in Dubai where many classic residences may still be found. The majority of these properties have been converted into coffee shops, hotels, and art galleries, yet this does not detract from the overall beauty of the neighborhood.

  1. The Grand Bur Dubai Masjid Mosque, which is located just west of Al Fahidi, welcomes non-Muslim tourists as well.
  2. If you continue westward, you will find yourself smack in the heart of the textile souk.
  3. Taking the Abra (water boat), which is just approximately US $1, across Dubai Creek can provide you with some spectacular vistas.
  4. Aside from the Gold Souk being a complete tourist trap, the Spice Souk is a nice place to pick yourself a few souvenirs or items for yourself to take home.

Al Seef is a modern-day reinterpretation of the Al Fahidi cult. Although the buildings are all recreations, this is where you’ll find some of the best restaurants, cafés, and nightlife in the city.

Day 4 – Day trip to the desert or Abu Dhabi

Your Dubai schedule for 5 days should provide more than enough time to take a day excursion somewhere else nearby. Safaris in the desert and trips to Abu Dhabi are among the most popular. It is entirely up to you which one you like to use. I had previously traveled to the Middle East and had spent time in the desert while in Jordan, so I personally picked Abu Dhabi as the destination for my day excursion. If you’ve never traveled to the desert before, it can be a worthwhile experience. The activities on offer here include 4X4 dune buggy rides, camel rides, belly-dancing shows, and simply relaxing at a resort.

As I mentioned, the desert is about an hour away, so it is not a long journey at all.

That time might be spent visiting a site on your bucket list, such as the Dubai Frame or the Wadi Wadi Waterpark, if you haven’t already.

Despite the fact that Abu Dhabi is not as well-known as Dubai, it has several fantastic attractions that may all be experienced on a guided trip.

Day 5 – Wrap things up

Because your five days in Dubai will go by quickly, make the most of your last day to complete your itinerary. Have a great dinner by the sea or end your shopping at The Dubai Mall after your meal. You should take advantage of this opportunity to visit any attractions you have been meaning to visit. Extreme activities such as skydiving or taking a helicopter ride are undertaken by certain persons. In the event that you want to remain on solid ground (or in the sea), there are several worthwhile sightseeing boat cruises to choose from.

In addition to offering more retail and dining alternatives, City Walk is a terrific outdoor location.

Final thoughts

Your Dubai agenda for the next five days will be jam-packed with activities, yet you won’t feel hurried at any point. Although the cost of traveling to Dubai is affordable, many individuals will choose to travel to Dubai on a tight budget. Personally, I believe that you should have a small budget in order to be able to enjoy yourself. It’s doubtful that you’ll return to the city unless you have strong links to it. Pay for the experiences you want and take advantage of the city’s offerings.

Taxis are numerous and inexpensive, and the city has an outstanding public transportation system. Alternatively, you may ride a public bus, which has excellent air conditioning and runs all around the city (there are over 1,500 of them).

What to do in Dubai for 3 Days

In terms of height, the Burj Khalifa is now the world’s tallest structure, and has been referred to as a “Vertical City” and “A Living Wonder” by numerous publications. The Burj Khalifa, which opened in 2010, has two observation decks: one on the 124th and 125th floors, and another on the 148th floor. At 555 metres above sea level, it is the world’s highest observation deck, and the view from there is undoubtedly breathtaking. The Dubai Fountains (which are comparable to those outside the Bellagio in Las Vegas) present a music, water, and light display each night at Burj Khalifa’s base, adding even more spectacle to the tower’s already spectacular presence.

Take a 4WD Trip to the Desert

No matter where you are in Dubai, you are never more than a few minutes away from the desert. Spend an hour or so riding in the rear (or the front, if you’re feeling daring!) of a four-wheel drive across the sand dunes, allowing an expert driver to guide you through the high points and low points of this amazing terrain! In addition to morning and evening safaris, with traditional sunset meal options and the possibility to try sand surfing or driving an off-road dunes buggy, there are a plethora of desert activities available.

You may even spend the night in the desert or take a hot air balloon flight in the early morning for a really memorable adventure in the desert. It is a definite must during your three-day stay in Dubai!

Visit the Dubai Mall – the world’s largest shopping mall

Dubai Mall, with its more than 1 million square metres (or around 200 football fields) of space, over 1,200 retail stores, hundreds of restaurant and beverage options, an aquarium, an Olympic-sized ice rink, and the Kidzania theme park, really caters to all of your shopping and entertainment needs. According to expectations, shopping in Dubai is a popular pastime. The shops vary from high street fashion to haute couture, with plenty of options to get your gold fix in the Gold Souk, which is located in Deira.

Experience The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

TheDubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoois located within the Dubai Mall, and it is open to the public. More than 33,000 aquatic creatures from 140 species live there, including one of the world’s largest collections of tiger sharks, which is found nowhere else on the planet. It’s a terrific spot to get away from the heat, and it’s one of the best things to do in Dubai for families.

Visit IMG Worlds of Adventures – the world’s largest indoor theme park

In addition to being the world’s biggest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventures has plenty to offer children of all ages. There are other adventure zones, including ones dedicated to the Cartoon Network, Lost Valley, and Marvel! Among the rides, our favorite was the Hulk Epsilon Base 3D, where you can strap yourself into a motion seat and watch the Hulk fight against his fiercest nemesis in a truly immersive 3D experience thanks to the “stereoscopic cinema dome.” As you might expect, there are height restrictions on the rides; however, there are plenty of rides available for the younger customer, with many rides available for those who are at least 1.05m tall, and a number of rides that have no height restriction at all.

  • There are also a number of rides that are suitable for people of all ages.
  • Dubai provides a plethora of options!
  • Skip the line tickets are available for theDubai Adventure Waterpark and theWild Wadi Waterparks, allowing you to get in and out of the water as soon as possible.
  • Skiing in the middle of the desert is possible at the Mall of the Emirates, which is located in Dubai.

Shop In the souks of “Old Dubai”

Take the time to travel north over Dubai Creek to Deira, sometimes known as “Old Dubai,” if you are looking for something a little more traditional or “genuine.” Deira is the ideal location to immerse yourself in a history that predates the current rise of Dubai, though one might argue that Deira’s spice souk, textile souk, and gold souk were only forerunners to the incredible malls that now adorn the city.

For many tourists to Dubai, the gold souk is a must-see attraction. In addition to offering competitive pricing (with the price per gram being determined twice a day), it also has around 10 tonnes of gold accessible at any given moment, so you’ll be hard-pressed to leave without finding what you’re looking for.

However, because the gold price has been established, you will only be allowed to haggle on the price of the workmanship that is being offered.

Take A Cruise On Dubai Creek

A classic dhow cruise should be included as part of your Dubai vacation itinerary. Dhow cruises are offered both during the day and at night, and some even include a buffet meal at sunset, letting you to enjoy the best of both worlds: panoramic skyline views during the day and at night. For those who need to reach to their gold-buying destination quickly, an anabra — a tiny motorised water taxi – is the ideal mode of transportation across Dubai Creek.

Try Traditional Arabic Sweets At Habiba Al Nabulsi

Please don’t be deceived by the shabby exterior – theHabiba al Nabulsirestaurant in Deira is not well-known for salads or meats, but rather for its wonderful Arabic sweets and deserts that will please even the most discerning sweet tooth! Must-try desserts include the exquisite kunafa with kashta, which is a sort of filo pastry and cream delicacy that is drizzled with orange blossom syrup.

Take A Walking Tour Through The Historic Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

It is the greatest area to view what Dubai used to look like before all of the skyscrapers were built. A visit to Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is the best way to do so. The neighborhood, which dates back to the early 1900s, is one of the city’s oldest historical areas. An organized walking tour is the most effective method to view the attractions and traverse the narrow streets of the city. While you’re in the region, pay a visit to the Sheik Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU), which exhibits the culture and traditions of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Dubai Friday Brunch

Visiting Dubai on a Friday (the Emirati weekend)? Be sure to partake in a Dubai expat tradition and go out to brunch with your friends and family. The majority of the hotels provide a delectable spread of cuisine from throughout the world, and there are many of family-friendly establishments that include wandering magicians and petting zoos! The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, The Westin, and At.mosphere at the Burj Khalifa are all excellent choices for brunch; and if you’re looking for one of the swankiest Afternoon Teas in the world – and a true luxury experience – book your seat at theSkyBar in the Burj Al Arab, where you’ll enjoy a 7-course afternoon tea with champagne in one of the world’s few 7-star hotels.

Where To Eat in Dubai

Dubai is one of the greatest cities in the world to dine, offering a diverse range of cuisines from all over the world to its visitors. Here are our best selections for those with a high, medium, and low-end spending budgets, respectively. Top end: On the north side of Dubai Creek, you’ll find some of the greatest gastronomic experiences the city has to offer. Miyako has continuously been one of the area’s most popular restaurants, thanks to its wonderful Japanese menu. The restaurant is divided into three sections, each of which has a teppanyaki room, a sushi bar, and a tatami area.

  • You may do so in Dubai!
  • Medium:Seven Sands is a classic Emirati restaurant that delivers extremely amazing cuisine.
