Dubai’s DP World to build dry port in India’s Jammu and Kashmir, regional leader says
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, January 6 (Reuters) – The president of the area’s region said on Thursday that Dubai’s ports giant DP World is planning to construct an inland port in Jammu and Kashmir as part of the emirate’s aspirations to invest in the Indian territory. Earlier this year, the Indian government announced that Dubai, a member of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will invest in infrastructure and other projects in the disputed territory, which is claimed by both India and Pakistan but is administered in part by both countries.
