Yes, this is true! Where can I even begin?! I attempted to give him the whole tale, but it ended up being a little too long-winded. Since the United Arab Emirates is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination, I assumed the uncertainty would have subsided, but it appears that is not the case at all!

Why Is Dubai So Important?
It is indisputable that even those who are unable to locate Dubai (or the United Arab Emirates) on a map have heard of it and recognize it as a significant global player. Dubai’s most well-known landmarks

- The city’s history as a settlement has been established as far back as the late 11th century AD. During the first phase of the Islamic conquests, which covered the Arab Peninsula and parts of Africa (Somalia) under the early Caliphs and the Umayyads between 610 and 750 CE, the city was known as a trading post. The city of Dubai developed as a result of the discovery of oil in the late 1960s, and by the early 1970s, it had grown to become an important hub for oil corporations. It was also during this period that Dubai saw rapid growth, owing to a significant influx of migrants from the rest of the Middle East, but mostly from Asia, which has continued to this day.
Dubai’s growth was momentarily interrupted in 1990 owing to the Gulf War, but it subsequently rebounded and continued to expand not just as a result of oil and commerce, but also as a result of increased tourism in recent years.
