- According to a senior Dubai Health Authority official, medical records of all patients will be available at the touch of a button on the Salama Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system by the end of November throughout all DHA hospitals in the emirate by the end of the month of November.

Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority said on Wednesday that a new central database would be launched on Friday to consolidate all medical records from five health-care facilities.
- Launch day is the first of three phases, and the first 1.4 million recordings go live at 3am on Friday, marking the beginning of phase one.
- All patient records from Rashid Hospital, Al Barsha Medical Center, the Airport Medical Centers, the Rehabilitation Center at Al Safa, and the Safa Dermatology Center will be transferred to a central repository.
- “This will mean that every patient registered in these centers will have one integrated medical file across all centers,” Al Qutami said.

It is intended to build a simplified and accessible electronic health record (EHR) between United Arab Emirates (UAE) health facilities and a consolidated health information database of MOHAP patients by implementing an integrated health care information technology system.
The action demonstrates the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s (MOHAP) ongoing commitment to provide health care services that match or surpass world-class standards for citizens and residents of Dubai and the Northern UAE.

American Hospital Dubai recruits Oracle and Cerner for major digital overhaul
