Beijing Jangho Curtain Walling Co Ltd is the contractor for the facade, BMU, and media illumination. Meinhardt Facade Technology is a consultant for Jangho Facades.

Grandar is a subcontractor for Jangho Media Lighting.

A double silver coated high performance glazing system with a system U-value of less than 1.93W/m2K is used on the main north facade, allowing the building to achieve its intended overall thermal performance value (ottertv) while also meeting the demanding changes being introduced into today’s environmental philosophy.

  1. After being re-engineered as an externally ventilated twin-wall cavity, the South facade, which was initially designed as a photovoltaic design, was completed.
  2. With the assistance of Meinhardt Facade (Singapore), comprehensive CFD studies were undertaken, and the design was ultimately successful in meeting the overall technical requirement while also meeting the aesthetic requirement.
  3. Technology that involves bi-directional communication in order to enable for entire system health monitoring is being developed.
  4. Because of the harsh weather conditions in the United Arab Emirates, careful consideration has to be paid to the thermal performance of the lighting assemblies.
  5. The use of 3840 lighting fixtures, which provide over 15,360 addressable pixels, allows for the broadcasting of themed and sequenced light art throughout Abu Dhabi.
  6. Using digital multiplexing for media façade applications is required in order to control such a system effectively.

We are proud to be working on this landmark project, which includes 13m spanning cable wall facades for the entrance, a complex, bespoke integrated illuminated architectural clad canopy, a high specification penthouse facade design, a fully integrated complex series of BMU units covering 7 different working zones up to the helipad level glass balustrade works.
