How expensive are Dubai’s water parks and how to book with a discount?

The most costly activity we participated in was a day at theAquaventure waterpark in Atlantis, The Palm in the Bahamas. It is now possible to purchase the most affordable online ticket for 320 AED (80 EUR) for adults and 260 AED (65 EUR) for children under 1,2m in height (4 feet). If you do not purchase your tickets in advance, you will almost certainly spend at least 15-20 EUR/person more than you would otherwise. GetYourGuide is now offering a reasonably priced package that includes Aquaventure as well as the Lost Chamber Aquarium.

  1. A locker will cost you an additional 10-20 EUR, and you will need the one that costs 20 EUR in order to put a regular-sized rucksack in the space provided.
  2. In the park, food and beverages are fairly costly, but they are on pace with similar establishments in Europe (count 5 EUR for tiny fries and 4 EUR for a drink), and you are only permitted to carry one bottle of water per person with you.

How expensive is to visit ‘At The Top’ in Burj Khalifa

Another must-do in Dubai is to climb to the top of the Burj Khalifa, which is the world’s tallest structure. The cheapest regular ticket to the 124th and 125th levels starts at around 35 EUR. If you want to visit at sunset, expect to spend almost three times the normal fee, and expect to pay three times the normal price if you don’t want to wait in line. A minimum of 95 EUR per person will be charged for access to the Sky level (148th floor). We arrived around 6.30 p.m., just after sunset, and were treated to spectacular views of Dubai at night.

The wait time to get on the elevator was no more than 15 minutes, so I don’t see why you would want to pay three times the fee for rapid access to the elevator.

The price of a ticket to the Burj Khalifa is the same at the counter as it is online, however if you don’t book in advance, there is a good risk that you will not be able to get a ticket at certain times.

If you haven’t made a reservation, consider going early in the morning or late in the evening when it’s less crowded. At night, the Dubai Fountain Show may be seen from the Burj Khalifa.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

Dubai Marina Dinner Cruise: our experience

A dinner cruise on the Dubai Dhow is one of the most popular excursions in the city. There are several businesses that operate the boats, so you will have a wide variety of choices. When our New Year’s Eve cruise was canceled without explanation, we were offered another one two hours later that same evening at ten (!) times the price instead, which we declined. You will be able to witness the fireworks that they promised! To see the fireworks from the boat would cost me 1500 EUR, which is a lot more money than I am ready to spend.

  1. This is typical of Dubai: if there is a demand, the supply and pricing are adjusted accordingly.
  2. We immediately went on the internet and discovered another business that offered the trip at the standard price, and we had a wonderful time on the cruise.
  3. We spent 420 AED (105 EUR) for a dinner cruise for the five of us, which was almost the same price as a supper at a restaurant on its own.
  4. We thought this cruise to be quite worthwhile while in Dubai.
  5. You will at the very least receive your money back, and they will almost always find an alternative for you if something goes wrong.

If you want to explore ancient Dubai and all of its beauty, you can locate hidden jewels like Ravi’s, which will cost you up to Dhs45 (US $12) and will be worth it.

TIPPING IN DUBAI AND THE EMIRATI DIRHAM

Tipping is absolutely optional in Dubai, however it is greatly encouraged. Although most products, such as meals, contain a service fee, many customers still leave a tip in the neighborhood of 10 percent. However, the final decision is yours. The Emirati dirham, the currency of Dubai, is based on the United States dollar. Because of its stability, it has been able to maintain a relatively inelastic value, and the value of the money is unlikely to alter drastically from year to year. To give you an idea of the value of one US dollar, it is approximately 3.67 dirhams.

SO IS DUBAI THAT EXPENSIVE AFTERALL….

We hope that this article has helped you gain a better understanding of just how pricey Dubai is. Dubai Taxis and the Metro make getting around very affordable, and you can take advantage of the current hotel deals and even spend the night in the heart of the desert. You can also visit the world’s tallest building and go on a desert safari that will enrich your experience with culture and adventure.

Choose from a variety of dining alternatives at a price that is within your financial reach. Are you planning a trip to Dubai? You can get all of the information you want for your travel right here.

How expensive is Dubai? A Budget for staying in Dubai

Dubai is well-known for being a high-priced tourist destination. As a result, we were only able to spend “two full days” in one of the world’s newest metropolises, which was a disappointment. The following article provides an answer to the question “How costly is Dubai?” One thing I can tell you right now is that Dubai is far less expensive than we anticipated!

Dubai Travel Costs: What is the cost of travel to and from Dubai?

United Arab Emirates

Dubai, along with Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaywayn, Ras al-Khaimah, and Fujairah, is one of the seven United Arab Emirates, and it serves as a major hub for a significant number of aircraft.

If you frequently go to Asia, for example, there is a good probability that you will have to stop in Dubai. Making a stopover in Dubai is ideal since it allows you to get a feel for the city and all of its crazy.

Money Dubai: Currency in Dubai and other Emirates

When traveling to the United Arab Emirates, and hence also in Dubai, you will be required to pay in dirhams (AED). We were able to split all of the fees by four during our stay because of the time of year. This indicates that we spent €2,50 for a total of 10 dirham. This method of computation has been used for all of the amounts in this article.

Our travel expenses in Dubai

We landed in Dubai on Saturday night after traveling from Sofia, Bulgaria. We landed at Al Maktoum International Airport, which is located on the outskirts of the city, so we had to travel for a few hours. From the subway, we were able to see Dubai at night very quickly. We had the opportunity to visit Dubai on Sunday and Monday, and our trip to India was scheduled for the following morning. If you want a more accurate picture of how much we’ve spent each day, divide our total expenditure by 2.5, because we were there for around two and a half days.

There are also a plethora of free activities to participate in in Dubai.

  • Accommodations, meals, transportation, excursions, and other expenditures are included.

Accommodation in Dubai

Provision of lodging and food; transportation; excursions; and any additional costs

Prices for food and drinks in Dubai

Food and beverage rates in Dubai were really reasonable, and we were very pleased with them. We ate at McDonald’s (which was convenient and tasty), Five Guys in the Dubai Mall, which had a view of the Burj Khalifa, and the food court at the Dubai Mall, among other places. Food Courts in Dubai are a fantastic spot to eat out, and there is a great variety to choose from! We both chose a great Thai lunch, but you may also choose from a variety of other cuisines such as Mexican, Indian, Japanese, or Chinese (and more).

The total cost of living for two persons was €42.85 per day.

Public transport in Dubai

Because we did not sleep in Dubai but rather in Sjarjah, we were highly reliant on public transportation to go about. Fortunately, in Dubai, this does not come at a high financial expense. Because of the low petroleum rates, public transportation is well-organized, and taxis are quite inexpensive. It is recommended that you obtain a NOL card if you intend to commute by public transportation in Dubai. These may be purchased at the airport, as well as at the metro and bus terminals throughout the city.

It should be possible to utilize all public transportation in Dubai after charging your NOL card, which is exactly as it should be.

We decided on the silver one so that we could go in the “regular” coupés with our belongings.

When boarding the subway, keep an eye out for the women’s trolleys.

Traveling in the women’s cart is punishable by steep fines, so it’s best to keep an eye out for it. Women, on the other hand, are permitted to go in both carts. Men will frequently give their sears to women who are shopping in the’regular’ trolleys.

Public transportation in Dubai: Goldcard

When you choose a gold card, you will be able to ride in separate compartments, which are often more quiet. There is also a greater likelihood of finding a space to sit. The golden NOL card is the same price as the regular NOL card, but you will be charged twice as much for each ride you take. We picked the silver card because we enjoy traveling across different cultures and believe that this is an important element of traveling.

How expensive is Dubai: Our travel expenses in Dubai for public transport

For transportation in Dubai, we spent a total of €57 for two individuals. We went a great deal by metro, using four taxis, three buses, and a few other modes of transportation. TIP: If you are in Bur Dubai (the historic part of the city), you may take an abra (water taxi) to cross the canal, which is a fantastic experience in itself. As a visitor, you will be offered the opportunity to board a tourist boat, but this will cost you 120 dirham, which we think is a bit much. The water taxi will cost you one dirham.

Money Matters: How expensive are excursions in Dubai?

In general, we don’t arrange many excursions throughout our travels, and we like to go independently wherever we are going. We have, on the other hand, spent a decent amount of money on excursions while in Dubai. We were looking forward to a number of excursions that we were not going to miss. The cost of living in Dubai will very probably be determined by how many day excursions you take, but it will be well worth it!

Burj Khalifa at the Top

We purchased tickets to the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck, from where we were able to view the city from the 124th and 125th floors of the world-famous building. The world’s highest structure stands at 1,776 meters. What a spectacular view! It cost us 130 dirham each person to do this. We reserved our tickets for the Burj Khalifa online in order to avoid standing in long lines at certain points. When making a reservation online, you must provide a preferred time for your visit. Tickets to the observation deck at the top of the Burj Khalifa may be purchased here.

In front of the door, there are vending machines where you may input your name and confirmation number, and you will be given your tickets when you have done so.

Burj Khalifa – Fast track

You might also opt to acquire a fast-track card to expedite the process. With this card, you will not have to wait in line and will be able to get through virtually instantly. The costs, on the other hand, are significantly larger. The cost of a ticket is around 75 euros. We made the decision not to pay for this. We passed through security in approximately twenty minutes, and then we were able to proceed to the elevators without further delay. If you wish to see the Burj Khalifa as well as the Underwater Zoo, you may purchase a combo ticket that allows you to see both the Burj Khalifa and the Underwater Zoo*.

Most do: A Desert Safari in Dubai

Just a few days before departing for Dubai, I had a dream. The fact that Saskia (another Dutch travel blogger) will also be in Dubai at the same time as me was discovered through Twitter. We discussed our intentions with Saskia, who inquired as to whether we would be interested in going on a Desert Safari. Uhhh. Yes, please!

We were able to get this for 300 dirham because of discount certificates from Saskia. For two individuals, the conversion rate is around 75 euros. Desert safaris may be arranged by a huge number of different firms in the area. Tickets for the Desert Safari are also available for purchase online.

Other travel expenses in Dubai

During our trip, we spent €15.63 on cigarettes (a packet of L M costs less than two euros) and two USB drives, which we used to store backup copies of our photographs. We barely spent five euros on a single USB flash drive.

Money Dubai: How expensive is Dubai? Our total travel expenses

In this area, we spent €15.63 in Dubai on cigarettes (a packet of L M costs little more than two euros) and two USB sticks, which we purchased as a backup for our digital images and videos. The cost of one USB stick was merely five euros.
