When I initially arrived in Dubai few years ago, that figure was about 85 percent. There are large communities of Indians and Pakistanis living in Dubai, but it is also usual to see Europeans, Canadians, and Americans enjoying their time in the city.

11. The Arabian Sea

Beautiful beaches are nothing new to me, having grown up in California. In fact, after spending so much time in Malibu and on the beaches of Orange County, I’m starting to think I’m a bit of a beach expert. But I’m willing to bet you didn’t anticipate to find yourself on a beach in the Middle East. Dubai’s deep blue seas are among the most stunning in the Arabian Sea, and the city is surrounded by mountains. Furthermore, you are not need to be a guest at a posh resort in order to enjoy the waters.

12. New Sculptures Seem to Go Up Daily

Okay, perhaps a little hyperbole on my part. Just a short drive across the border into Oman will take you to the breathtaking Musandam Peninsula. Located on the 30-acre constructed Burj Lake, the Dubai Fountain is a sight to see at night. I plan to cruise the lake to witness the dance of the fountain. It is lighted by millions of lights, and the shooting water spouts may reach heights of up to 50 stories in height. 05 | Jumeirah Mosque

The only thing I really want is to get up up and personal with the magnificent design of this iconic Dubai landmark, which can accommodate up to 1,200 worshipers. The white marble sparkles in the sunshine and takes on a magnificent radiance when illuminated by the night. The two twin minarets surround a massive central dome, which provides a spectacular sight when it is fully illuminated at twilight. It’s just fantastic! 06 | Palm Islands

The distinctive palm-shaped form of these islands, according to reports, can be seen clearly from space. My seat on the next rocket they launch will be taken by someone else, so I’ll take a trip up to the islands. The Palm Islands are quite breathtaking to see, with kilometers of white sand shoreline surrounded by hotels, residential buildings, and parks along the coastline. The Burj Al Arab and The Palm Atlantis Hotel are two of the most notable structures on the Palm Islands, and they are both world-renowned monuments.

The Lost City, with its intriguing glass subterranean grottos harboring a diverse array of aquatic life, is one of my ideal vacation spots. The Lost City is a genuine reconstruction of the City of Atlantis as we believe it to have been thousands of years ago. I’m also looking forward to spending some quality time with the friendly dolphins. Palm Atlantis is a luxury unto itself; it is wave-shaped, whereas the Burj Al Arab is sail-shaped, and it is located in Dubai.

08 | Burj Al Arab

I will not be staying at the seven-star Burj Al Arab, but that does not exclude me from wanting to visit it. I’d want to snap photos of the fleet of Rolls-Royces that are parked outside the entrance to the world’s highest hotel, which is now under construction. It will cost between $1100 and $9000 to stay here for a night, and I am keen to find out why.
