And, despite the fact that it is future, it is ageless, as was demonstrated during 2020, when it was one of the world’s first major tourist destinations to re-open to visitors following the advent of Covid-19.

Where to Stay in Dubai

In part because Dubai is a decentralized metropolis (more on that in a moment), I’m not as particular about where I stay during my three days in Dubai as I would be in other parts of the world. Instead, I make an effort to select accommodations depending on the mood of the establishment. Alternatively, do I want something a little grittier, such as many of the flats you can find on vacation rental websites, or something quirky and luxurious like Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown? Do you want to be close to the beach?

In my view, Dubai is not a place to come if you are self-conscious in a bathing suit. (Spoiler alert: a large number of individuals at the beach, maybe a tiny majority in reality, demonstrate that this statement is quite vulnerable to interpretation!)

What to Do With 3 Days in Dubai

Hide from the sun at Dubai Marina

While spending a day (or three) at the beach is a fantastic way to spend three days in Dubai, it is not the only option available. If you want to be close to the ocean but not being directly exposed to the sun, one choice would be to stay in the Dubai Marina. This area, which is shaded by skyscrapers and filled with high-end (and not-so-high-end) eateries and cafés, is a wonderful place to take a break from the sun.

Watch the Burj Khalifa light up

Being anywhere in Dubai without paying attention to theBurj Khalifa, which will continue to remain the world’s highest skyscraper for at least a few more years, is impossible to achieve. Regardless matter how much time you spend admiring it the remainder of your vacation, make sure to spend at least one evening gathering around the fountain at the foot of the tower, where a spectacular light display is performed every night.

Visit the UAE’s other big city

If you’ve read any of my prior travel itineraries, you’ll know how much I like taking day excursions throughout the country. Indeed, it wouldn’t be a Leave Your Daily Hell trip to Dubai if I didn’t propose that you spend at least one of your days—days, not hours—outside of the city. A fantastic alternative for accomplishing this is to travel to Abu Dhabi, which is barely an hour down the road yet feels like a completely different planet altogether.

Instead, if you’re traveling to where Emirates provides service, it would be a smart idea to layover in Dubai for a few days beforehand to save money on your airfare.

Accommodations

The cost of a hotel room in Dubai may be fairly variable, just as in any other city. They have a large number of luxurious hotels, including the self-proclaimed 7-star Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel, as well as a large number of reasonably priced choices. What to do in Dubai for 3 Days

In terms of height, the Burj Khalifa is now the world’s tallest structure, and has been referred to as a “Vertical City” and “A Living Wonder” by numerous publications. The Burj Khalifa, which opened in 2010, has two observation decks: one on the 124th and 125th floors, and another on the 148th floor. At 555 metres above sea level, it is the world’s highest observation deck, and the view from there is undoubtedly breathtaking. The Dubai Fountains (which are comparable to those outside the Bellagio in Las Vegas) present a music, water, and light display each night at Burj Khalifa’s base, adding even more spectacle to the tower’s already spectacular presence.

Take a 4WD Trip to the Desert

No matter where you are in Dubai, you are never more than a few minutes away from the desert. Spend an hour or so riding in the rear (or the front, if you’re feeling daring!) of a four-wheel drive across the sand dunes, allowing an expert driver to guide you through the high points and low points of this amazing terrain! In addition to morning and evening safaris, with traditional sunset meal options and the possibility to try sand surfing or driving an off-road dunes buggy, there are a plethora of desert activities available.

You may even spend the night in the desert or take a hot air balloon flight in the early morning for a really memorable adventure in the desert. It is a definite must during your three-day stay in Dubai!

Visit the Dubai Mall – the world’s largest shopping mall

Dubai Mall, with its more than 1 million square metres (or around 200 football fields) of space, over 1,200 retail stores, hundreds of restaurant and beverage options, an aquarium, an Olympic-sized ice rink, and the Kidzania theme park, really caters to all of your shopping and entertainment needs. According to expectations, shopping in Dubai is a popular pastime. The shops vary from high street fashion to haute couture, with plenty of options to get your gold fix in the Gold Souk, which is located in Deira.

Experience The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

TheDubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoois located within the Dubai Mall, and it is open to the public. More than 33,000 aquatic creatures from 140 species live there, including one of the world’s largest collections of tiger sharks, which is found nowhere else on the planet. It’s a terrific spot to get away from the heat, and it’s one of the best things to do in Dubai for families.

In addition to being the world’s biggest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventures has plenty to offer children of all ages. Among the rides, our favorite was the Hulk Epsilon Base 3D, where you can strap yourself into a motion seat and watch the Hulk fight against his fiercest nemesis in a truly immersive 3D experience thanks to the “stereoscopic cinema dome.” As you might expect, there are height restrictions on the rides; however, there are plenty of rides available for the younger customer, with many rides available for those who are at least 1.05m tall, and a number of rides that have no height restriction at all.
