She is Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, who was appointed to the position of Minister of State for Happiness by the UAE Government in February 2016. Her primary task was to ensure that all government plans, programs, and policies were coordinated in order to create a happy society. Wellbeing Academy

As part of its mission, the Wellbeing Academy is an online learning platform that provides programs to federal and local government bodies on how to incorporate the concepts of well-being into their various programs and projects, as well as their policies and services. It also aspires to improve the overall well-being of the individual. The Wellbeing Academy was established in order to put into action the pillars of the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031. A Guide to Happiness and Well-being at workplace

Guide to Happiness and Well-Being in the Workplace has been published by the National Program for Happiness and Well-Being. The goal of the guide is to assist government entities, other stakeholders in the private sector, and non-profit organizations in identifying and fostering the conditions necessary for employees to thrive and flourish at work in terms of productivity and engagement, as well as to identify and eliminate barriers to such success. The satisfaction of employees at work is important because it is frequently reflected in the quality and quantity of services that an organization provides to its consumers.

According to the book, there are four key pillars that should be in place to foster a healthy workplace culture that is conducive to employee happiness and welfare.

Labour Happiness Programme

The Ministry of Human Resources and Employment (MoHRE) initiated a range of programs to promote employee satisfaction as part of the UAE National Programme for Happiness and Wellbeing. This includes the Happiest Work Environment, Best Labor Accommodation, Happiest Bus, and Happiness SIM, to name a few efforts. Laborers were provided with free SIM cards as part of the Happiness SIM campaign. The Best Labor Accommodation initiative seeks to comply with and fulfill the requirements of the Manual of the General Criteria for the Accommodation of Workers (Manual of General Criteria for the Accommodation of Workers).

The UAE as per World Happiness Report

The United Nations World Happiness Report 2020 According to the World Happiness Report 2020, the United Arab Emirates has retained its first-place ranking among Arab countries for the sixth consecutive year, surpassing Egypt (PDF, 500 KB). The United Arab Emirates maintained its leading position in the world and outperformed several industrialized nations and economies in the annual global report published by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNDSN) (SDSN). There is a new special indicator in this year’s study, called the ‘Cities Happiness Index,’ which measures the degree of happiness in cities throughout the world.

According to the United Nations World Happiness Report 2018, the United Arab Emirates placed first in the Arab world for the fourth consecutive year and 20th overall among 156 nations, up one position from the previous year.

Meet UAE’s First Female Ambassador to France, Her Excellency Hend Al Otaiba

Her Excellency Hend Al Otaiba takes up her new position as the UAE’s ambassador to France, where she will exercise soft power in a dignified and understated manner. When she was 23 years old, her father, HE Dr Mana Saeed Al Otaiba, was Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the United Arab Emirates.
The expectations my father had for me and my siblings were very high.

“My father has been the primary motivator of it in terms of his expectations, and we wanted to make sure that we lived up to those expectations.” While Al Otaiba admits to being shy and timid as a little girl, she also participated in ballet, which she regrets discontinuing, and has always been interested in languages, having studied French, Spanish, and English, in addition to her native Arabic tongue.

Despite the fact that she is proficient in French, she continues to improve her language abilities with a tutor twice a week.

Even now, the studies continue to be beneficial to her both professionally and emotionally.

“We’ve heard convincing indications that the United Arab Emirates is interested in increasing, if not tripling, its investment in the French economy.” She is looking for ways to connect both sides to further cooperation in areas such as business opportunities, education through increased exchanges – not to mention the existing agreements between Paris’s Sorbonne and Abu Dhabi (Al Otaiba holds a master’s degree in marketing, management, and communications from the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi) and technological advancements.

She mentions Station F in Paris, which she describes as “the world’s largest start-up facility,” as a potential location for a connection with Abu Dhabi’s Hub 71.
We need to reach out to people at all levels of society, not only politicians who are already familiar with us.” Al Otaiba met with French President Emmanuel Macron on his visit to Rami Al Ali.
“When a lady from our region speaks, people are more interested in hearing what she has to say.
The western perception of the downtrodden Middle Eastern lady, clad in an abaya, is a contributing cause to the situation.
“I believe Theabaya is just stunning.
“You have to respect the position of every country.” This is the way things are, and I understand and accept that it is part of the non-interference in a country’s policy.
That is absolutely incredible.

Until now, she has championed Arab talents and craftsmanship, donning an intricately-embroidered ebony thobe when hosting the Golden Jubilee soirée in Paris, wearing Elie SAAB, and giving a nod to her new French home with a suit by Christian Dior and jewelry from Chaumet, in a true masterclass in fashion diplomacy.

Her remarks are reasonable in that she is addressing clothing through the prism of sexism, in which women’s actions are all too often overlooked, with their clothing serving as an easy alibi for those seeking to silence a woman’s voice.
She is a rare presence in the world, but she is well-known in the UAE – graciousness emanates from her.

Reem Al Hashimy has considerable expertise in international affairs and started her career as Commercial Attaché and, later, moved on to become Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, D.C.

Al Hashimy completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University, Massachusetts in 1999, where she got Bachelors of Arts degrees focusing in international relations and French.

Al Hashimy also holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University in 2002.
