Our team created a simple model of the population distribution pyramid, which is divided into three primary age groups. Age dependency ratio
When a country’s dependency ratio is high, it indicates that a large proportion of its population is not actively participating in the labor force (dependents) (the productive part of population). In the dependent portion, there are persons under the age of 15 and those above the age of 65 who are included. As a result, the productive portion of the population is comprised of people between the ages of 15 and 64. According to this ratio, the dependent part of the population exerts pressure on the producing part of the population.
The percentage of 27.1 percent is considered to be low.
In other words, the working population (labor force) in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for providing commodities for themselves as well as covering the costs of children and the elderly.
Furthermore, this segment of the population accounts for less than half of the working population. The fact that the percentage is less than 50% indicates that the strain on the producing people in the United Arab Emirates is relatively modest.
Child dependency ratio
The child dependency ratio is the ratio of persons under the age of 15 who are dependent on their parents to the total number of people in a country’s workforce. The dependence ratio for children in the United Arab Emirates is 26 percent.
Aged dependency ratio
The aged dependence ratio is the ratio of persons above the age of working (65+) to the total workforce in a country. In the United Arab Emirates, the elderly dependence ratio is 1.2 percent. Life expectancy
One of the most significant demographic indicators is the average life expectancy at birth. In this chart, the number of years that a newborn child would live is depicted on the assumption that the birth and death rates will remain constant throughout their lives. United Arab Emirates has a total life expectancy (both male and female) of 76.5 years at birth. This is significantly longer than the global population’s average life expectancy at birth, which is around 71 years (according to Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations).
Females have a life expectancy of 79.2 years when they are born.
Literacy of population
We estimate that 7,621,254 people or 93.83 percent of the adult population (those aged 15 and above) in the United Arab Emirates are literate and can write in their native language.
