The Sevens is a rugby sevens stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that was built specifically for the sport. On Saturday, a low-level flypast above The Sevens Stadium by the Emirates A380, which was adorned with the distinctive ‘United Arab Emirates 50’ graphic on both sides of the aircraft to commemorate The UAE’s 50th anniversary, was performed for thousands of rugby fans in attendance.
- Captain Mubarak Al Mheiri of the UAE was in command of the Emirates A380, and he was assisted by Captain Christopher Gauci and First Officer Tom Mayall of the United Kingdom.

Trips to The Sevens Stadium
One of the oddest migrations out of Dubai has taken place as a motley collection of vehicles speeds up the Dubai Al Ain Road, with luxury buses breezing past convoys of Uber drivers and glistening 4x4s, one of the strangest migrations the city has ever seen. However, theEmirates Dubai 7sis not your typical sporting event. Non-stop top-level sport at its finest (with the exception of last year, courtesy to Covid), it is also a multicultural, diverse celebration that pulls the whole United Arab Emirates (and beyond) together for a single event.
A 72-hour celebration will take place at The Sevens Stadium from December 2 to 4, and everyone is invited.

The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is at the core of the Emirates Dubai 7s, and this year we are delighted to bring back some of the world’s greatest male and female players to Dubai for the first time in three years. Twelve foreign teams will play in the men’s competition, including Australia, Argentina, Japan, Ireland, Kenya, Fiji, the United States, France, Spain, Canada, and the defending champions South Africa. In the meanwhile, the women’s competition will feature teams from Brazil, Australia, Russia, Ireland, Fiji, France, Canada, Great Britain, Spain, and the United States.
However, the largest public participation athletic event in the region is set to grow even more in scale this year.
Meanwhile, netball is a major component of the festival, with social, open, and young categories from teams all over the world competing on the same court in the same location. This year, the courtside will have its own entertainment and music.

This year’s Emirates Dubai 7s will feature tremendous musical talent on three stages, including Disclosure, James Haskell, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others. More information may be found here.

The Dubai 7s is not only for adults. Children may also participate. For children, there are a variety of activities and games to choose from, including tiny organic farms to explore and play in, inflatable obstacle courses, outdoor movie theaters, and more.

Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 Day One Review
After two years of COVID-induced setbacks, the return of a sold-out Emirates Stadium on the first day of the Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 was a welcome sight. According to World Rugby’s official press release, the rugby was unexpected, and the second round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2022 offered surprises and records in equal measure. Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 – Day One Men’s
A variety of social and invitational divisions got their second day of rugby begun on a vast number of outlaying rugby fields, while the action inside Emirates Stadium got off to a flying start. Having been beaten by France in the first game of the men’s series (for only the second time in Series history), the Fijians had their difficulties exacerbated when Spain trounced them (33-19) for the first time, and rightfully so. For the first time in the history of the Series in Dubai, Fiji failed to advance to the Cup quarter-finals, marking only the second occasion in the history of the Series.
The Blitzboks enter the final day of the tournament as heavy favourites, and if they are successful in hoisting the Cup, they would become the first team in over two decades to achieve a hat-trick of titles in the United Arab Emirates.
The disappointment of not qualifying for the Rugby World Cup Sevens and the losses in the first round of the HSBC World Sevens Series prompted Kameli Soejima, one of the Fijian-born but long-time Japanese 7s players, to tell us: “A lot of the boys have only just played their first World Series round, and it is a big step up.” It will take some time for us to gel, but I can already notice the improvements in our performances in the games.” In terms of season objectives, Soejima stated that Japan aspires to be a permanent member of the World Series’ Core team: “Our goal is to remain in the Series and maintain consistency throughout.” Our goal at every competition is to get the highest number of points.” Blitzbokke Ronald Brown told Rugby Asia 247 that the team was in a good mood this weekend, despite the fact that he thought the team was sloppy in their second win over Ireland.
“We are pleased with the results, but we must address the concerns of discipline in our game and the necessity for us to manage the flow.” The South African squad has been on a winning streak, and Brown explained: “It’s all about preparation.” We tell the kids at camp to prepare ahead of time and to carry that confidence into the games.
When asked about the Series and the upcoming big events in 2022 (Commonwealth Games and RWC Sevens in South Africa), Brown stated that he had not yet played in Hong Kong and was looking forward to playing the other Series legs in Asia, which include Singapore and the Commonwealth Games.
Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 Day Two- Men’s Cup Playoffs
Beginning with a match between Pool B champions Australia and the best third-place team Ireland – who will have the inspirational Jordan Conroy back in the lineup after missing the first round of the Series – the men’s Cup quarter-finals will get underway. Argentina, the winner of Pool C, and Great Britain, the runner-up of Pool A, will face off in the second Cup quarterfinal, followed by the two second-place teams from Pools B and C, the United States and France. The quarterfinals are completed with South Africa’s match against Kenya.

Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 – Day One Women’s
Australia’s ladies were once again in fine form, allowing only one point in their last game of the day against a tenacious Brazil. Despite this, the Aussies cruised through their three group games. They also appear to be on track to duplicate their Cup-winning performance from last week — their first in three years. Olympic medalists Fiji and France, as well as the excellent Russian ladies, will take their unblemished records into day two, when the pool stages will be played out to a conclusion before the tournament moves into the knockout portion of the competition.
“As a group, we’re focused on being consistent and building on last week’s victory,” Caslick said.
“We’re having a great time playing football, and we’re smiling and laughing a lot.” “I believe that is what is motivating us to perform better,” Caslick continued.
“My mother’s family is from Manchester, so playing in Birmingham in front of her family will be really special for me,” she said of the upcoming season in 2022.

Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s 2021 Day Two Women’s Playoffs
The quest for a spot in the semi-finals of the women’s competition begins with Brazil taking on Spain, followed by France taking on the United States (which should be one of the more interesting games of the day), and Fiji taking on France later in the day. Prior to the announcement of the semi-final spots, Australia’s women’s team will finish their group games by taking on a resurgent Russian side.
