Overall, we must state that, based on our personal experience, the financial balance is still overwhelmingly in favor of living and working in the UAE, particularly for households with similar lifestyles and jobs to those in Europe.
So how much do doctors make?

Types of Healthcare licenses in UAE
The four categories of healthcare licenses that are awarded to doctors by regulatory agencies are listed below. A doctor’s ability to practice is limited to a certain geographic area by the terms of each license. Salary of MBBS Doctor in UAE
- The salary of a General Practitioner working under the HAAD license used to be around 20-25K AED per month, but this has now been reduced to 12-17K AED per month (in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain)
- GPs working under the Foreign Contract (which offers the most attractive salaries and incentives) are paid 16,500 AED per month with additional benefits such as single or family accommodation and furniture allowance, children’s education, yearly air tickets, and family visa. Salary of FCPS Doctor in UAE
- Doctors with FCPS who work under a HAAD license are paid between 40 and 50 thousand AED per month (depending on the size and kind of healthcare institution). UAE: Hospital to pay doctor Dh100,000 for breach of contract
