Tallest of the Supertall

It is not only the world’s highest building, but it has also broken two other amazing records: the tallest structure, which was previously held by the KVLY-TV tower in Blanchard, North Dakota, and the tallest free-standing structure, which was previously held by the CN Tower in Toronto. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), which is located in Chicago, has set three criteria for determining what constitutes a tall structure. The hotel’s dramatic helipad has given a platform to a number of incredible stunts

Tiger Woods made his first tee shot from the helipad in 2004. Andre Agassi and Roger Federer came to the court on a temporary court a year later to play tennis on the same surface. Long Ma (men’s) and ShiWen Liu (women’s) of China, who were both world number one players at the time, played the first ever table tennis match on the platform in 2013. And, more recently, in 2017, professional kitesurfer Nick Jacobsen descended from the cliff with his kiteboard, achieving a world record in a death-defying stunt.

The Terrace is the first man-made luxury beach facility of its kind

The luxury platform, which spans 10,000 square meters and includes two pools, cabanas, and a 1,120 square meter beach area (for which 1,000 tonnes of white sand were imported), first opened its doors in 2017. The Terrace was built in Finland at a cruise ship and yacht fabrication plant before being brought to Dubai in six parts via sea freight. Because of this, its two pools have been lavishly decorated with 10 million gold and azure mosaic tiles since opening.

The hotel has a designated turtle hospital

The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (DTRP) is based at the Burj Al Arab and the neighboring Madinat Jumeirah, and it works in collaboration with the Dubai Wildlife Protection Office, the Dubai Falcon Clinic, and the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory to treat sick and injured sea turtles in the region. Since its inception in 2004, the initiative has successfully returned more than 1,600 rescued sea turtles to their natural habitat in the Arabian Gulf.

Its two top chefs hold five Michelin stars between them

Francky Semblat works at Al Muntaha, while Kim Joinié-Maurin works at Skyview Bar and Restaurant in Montreal, Canada. Previously, they had achieved a total of six Michelin stars for their prior restaurants before moving to the hotel. When it was completed in 2013, it was the world’s highest structure with a 90-degree twist, surpassing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. In 2015, the equally stunning Shanghai Tower, which rises at an astonishing 632 meters tall, was crowned the world’s tallest structure (2,073 ft).

7. Ocean Heights – 310 m (1,017 ft)

In addition to being one of the eight supertalls in Dubai Marina, it is the fifth-tallest residential skyscraper in the world as of 2017. Supertall buildings are those that reach a height of more than 300 meters above ground. Ocean Heights, which has 83 stories and was designed by Andrew Bromberg of Aedas, was completed in 2010. 6. DAMAC Residenze – 335 m (1,099 ft)

In comparison to Ocean Heights, DAMAC Residenze is a much larger development. Originally known as Ocean Heights 2, this 85-story structure was DAMAC Properties’ second supertall project and the company’s second supertall building. The structure was completed in 2016 and is planned to open in the fourth quarter of 2017.

5. The Torch – 336.8 m (1,105 ft)

The tower, which is also known as the Marina Torch and the Dubai Torch Tower, is 79 stories high and has a diameter of 79 meters. The Torch was officially opened to the public in May 2011, and at the time of its completion, it was the world’s highest residential skyscraper. There are 676 apartments and six shop spaces in the building. This skyscraper, along with Sulafa Tower, is the second in Dubai Marina to be destroyed by fire, not once, but twice in the same year. The first time was in 2015, and the second time was in 2017.

4. Elite Residence – 380.5 m (1,248 ft)

Elite Residence is a completely residential structure with 695 apartments and all of their amenities, including swimming pools, spas, health clubs, a gym, a business center, a parking lot, and a reception area. Elite Residence is just 0,5 meter short of the height of the Empire State Building. It has 87 storeys and 12 elevators, and the building was completed in 2012, according to the developer.

3. 23 Marina – 392.8 metres (1,289 ft)

Following the nearby Princess Tower and the 432 Park Avenue residential tower in New York City, it is the third highest building in Dubai Marina and the world’s third tallest residential tower, after the Princess Tower and the 432 Park Avenue tower. In the heart of Marina Bay, the 23 Marina is a magnificent 88-story skyscraper with 289 residences, 57 swimming pools (! ), and private elevators for each duplex.

2. Princess Tower – 413.4 m (1,356 ft)

The Princess Tower is the second highest entirely residential skyscraper in the world after 432 Park Avenue in Other York, and it is now the third tallest structure in Dubai – a position that will not remain long due to the construction of new supertalls nearby. It includes a total of 763 units on 101 levels. Tameer Holdings, the developer, completed the transfer of ownership of the building in September 2012. If you want to spend the night in one of the world’s highest buildings, you may book a room at Vacation Bay, which has fantastic views from the 74th floor and is one of the world’s most luxurious hotels.

1. Marina 101 – 432 m (1,417 ft)

The project is expected to be completed in 2016, with the handover taking place by 2008. It is not only the highest building in Dubai Marina, but it is also the second tallest structure in all of Dubai, according to the World Architecture Festival. The Marina 101 building has the 5-star Hard Rock Hotel, which has 281 rooms between the ground level and floor 33, as well as residential units on the upper floors.
