As it runs through the heart of Dubai’s contemporary business district, the road is flanked on both sides by steel-and-glass-and-chrome skyscrapers — the world’s densest concentration of modern high-rises. This location provides the greatest views of the big Dubai skyscrapers from the ground or the street. Many of Dubai’s hotels and upscale shopping centers are located along this famous avenue, which includes the Gold and Diamond Park, which houses 30 merchants and 118 producers all in one location for jewelry enthusiasts and collectors.

13. Mall of the Emirates

It is not only well-known for being one of the top shopping malls in Dubai, but it also houses the epicSki Dubaiinside, which is a must-see attraction for visitors. Despite the warmer weather outside, the indoor winter garden remains cool and snow-covered throughout the year. Not only is there skiing, but there is also a penguin colony within the complex. Aside from offering a movie theater and an entertainment center for people of all ages, as well as limitless shopping choices, the Mall of the Emirates is one of our favorite indoor summer vacation destinations.

14. IMG Worlds of Adventure

This internationally renowned theme park is one of the most popular indoor family attractions in Dubai. The main park is divided into three zones, each of which include rides related to Marvel, Cartoon Network, and the Lost World — all of which are dinosaur-themed. The Haunted Hotel thrill coaster is located on the center IMG Boulevard and is quite popular with visitors.

It is not the finest park for babies (because to height limits), but those with adolescents and tweens will discover that there is much to do here, and the best thing is that it is fully inside, making it appropriate all year round.

16. Dubai Parks and Resorts

There are four major theme parks in this purpose-built adventure playground on the outskirts of Dubai, which is the largest of its type in the Middle East. Motiongate, Legoland, Legoland Waterpark, and Bollywood Parks are among the attractions. In Riverland Dubai, which links the theme parks, there are plenty of theme rides, including Hollywood and Bollywood movie blockbuster themes, water rides, as well as a variety of restaurants and evening entertainment options. Attempt one, or try to cram them all into a single day with a multi-park ticket!

This waterpark is located on the grounds of Atlantis The Palm, which is an internationally acclaimed resort. Aquaconda, the world’s largest water slide, Leap of Faith – a nine-story-tall water slide and coaster rides, and more water thrills are available for family enjoyment at Aquacon. The journey is rounded out with an underwater safari, a water-sports area for youngsters, and a white sand beach stretching over 700 meters.

With so much to see and do in Dubai, it’s a city of contrasts. From the calm of the desert to the bustle of the city, there’s something for everyone. Everything you must do in Dubai

With so much to see and do in Dubai, it’s a city of contrasts. From the serenity of the desert to the bustle of the city, there’s something for everyone. Given its strategic location at the crossroads of several international long-distance routes, Dubai is an ideal stopover city to enjoy for a few days. If you’re traveling through, here are some of the greatest things to do in the city!.

2. Swim in a glass pool

When I arrived in Singapore following my 14-hour journey from Australia, my first point of call was the hotel swimming pool to get some rest before the day ahead.

As it turned out, we were staying in the Four Seasons DIFC, which had the world’s only glass pool with a spectacular view of downtown Dubai, as well as other amenities. The Four Seasons Dubai International Financial Centre is the location. Price: $350 USD each night starting at the lower end.

3. Visit the Al Maha Desert

The city of Dubai offers a plethora of things to choose from, but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, there’s no better place to go than the desert in the UAE. Platinum Heritage, which transports passengers to Al Maha, a private desert reserve in Dubai, remains my favorite operator despite the fact that I’ve been to Dubai’s desert a couple of times recently. This reserve is owned by the royal family, who have a weekend residence here as well as a stake in the tour firm, which is recognized for providing guests with the most realistic and immersive desert safari experience possible.

Prices start at $160 USD per person for the Heritage Safari and Camel Safari, respectively.

4. Experience the Talise Spa at the Burj Al Arab

Arriving at the Talise Spa, which is located on the eighteenth level of the Burj Al Arab and is one of my favorite experiences on all of my journeys to Dubai has been one of my favorite parts of every trip. This hotel is famous for being the world’s only seven-star establishment, a term that is not quite accurate (five stars being the worldwide maximum), but once you step inside, you’ll understand why it earned this distinction. The spa is a mosaic tile wonderland, packed with millions of them, many of which are gold (which is stunning to see in person!).

Price for a 45-minute neck massage: $80 Access to spa facilities is included in the $176 USD per person fee.

5. Visit the Spice and Gold Souks

It took me several trips to Dubai before I eventually made it to the souks, owing to their remote position (a short cab journey out of the way) and the fact that they were said to be a bit (correction: a lot!) too touristic. Although this is true, visiting the souks is a fantastic opportunity to get a sense for “ancient Dubai,” especially if it is your first time visiting one. They don’t compare to the experiences you’ll have in Muscat (Oman) or Marrakech (Morocco), but they’re still worth going on for the sake of the experience alone.

There is no charge for this service.

6. See the Dubai Fountain Show

During the evenings, tourists to Dubai may experience the world-famous Dubai fountain show, which takes place outside the Dubai Mall and beneath the Burj Khalifa. When viewed against the backdrop of the Burj Kahlifa’s sparkling lights, the display is rather speccy and interesting to watch, despite its modest size. Thiptara Thai Restaurant is my favorite spot to see the fountain display, and it is also where I first discovered it. Place of performance: Dubai Fountain Show / Thiptara There is no charge for this service.

7. Go Skiing indoors at Ski Dubai

Even if it was not the nicest ski experience I’ve ever had (admittedly, I’m comparing it to the alpine scenery of places like Zermatt, Arosa, Jasper, and Chile), it was still a memorable one!

There’s just one chairlift and one full run, but if you’re looking for something to do in the Mall of the Emirates and want to see what all the hype is about, this is a terrific way to spend a couple of hours. Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates are some of the locations. The cost is $74 per person.

8. Go Dune Bashing in the Desert

Even if it was not the nicest skiing experience I’ve ever had (admittedly, I’m comparing it to the alpine scenery of places like Zermatt, Arosa, Jasper, and Chile), it was nonetheless a memorable one! 9. Overload on Arabic Pastries

One of my favorite features of a vacation to the Middle East is still getting to sample all of the delectable Arabic desserts that are available! Even while my personal favorite is still the traditional and reliable baklava, you’ll be spoilt for choice because there are so many varieties around the continent. Price: varies depending on the item.

10. Spend the Day at Jumeirah Beach

If you want to relax in the sun while on vacation, Jumeirah Beach will be a great choice for you. Personally, I have a short attention span, so I only stayed on the beach for about 20 minutes before moving on to another activity (ha!) The beaches do not compare to the beauty of Australian beaches, yet I have found it difficult to locate beaches that are similar anywhere else in the world outside of the Pacific! Jumeirah Beach is the location. Non-alcoholic beverages are available for 50 dirhams (which is not inexpensive!).

11. Encounter Marine Wildlife at the Dubai Aquarium

The protection and teaching of marine animals is a prominent subject in Dubai, with two extremely large and magnificent aquariums housed at both the Dubai Aquarium and the Lost Chamber at the Dubai Mall, among other locations. For me, seeing wildlife in cages is a turn-off, but if you’re traveling with children, this is a terrific opportunity to educate them about conservation and to inform them about the programs that are taking place. The Dubai Aquarium is located within the Dubai Mall. Price: $28 per person for the underwater zoo; free if you are standing at the viewing point in the retail center.

12. Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Desert

On our last morning in Dubai, we got up at 4:00 a.m. to go on a hot air balloon trip over the desert, which was an unforgettable experience. Despite the fact that this was my third hot air balloon ride, it was by far the most memorable. The view and surroundings of the desert were incomparably beautiful when compared to other hot air balloon trips! The location is the Dubai Desert. Price: $360 USD per person if you include Platinum Heritage.

13. Step inside Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

If you enjoy pampering yourself, the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Spa is another great option to check out while in Dubai. If you’re not staying on the palm, the property is a little out of the way, but the spa is really worth it! It is popular not just with out-of-town visitors, but also with the locals. The Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the location. The cost of treatment varies, starting at $150 USD.

14. Stay Overnight in the Desert

For those searching for a more authentic trip, staying overnight at a traditional Bedouin Camp is another option for getting a taste of the desert in Dubai.

You may join a safari excursion in the late afternoon, then spend the night beneath the stars before waking up to a traditional bedouin breakfast the next morning. Platinum Heritage Safari Tours offers a discounted rate for this add-on to a chosen safari package.

15. Check out the Palace Hotel Downtown

In addition to being one of my favorite hotels in Dubai, it is also one of the most gorgeous places to visit even if you aren’t planning on staying there. When visiting the Palace Hotel Downtown, be sure to go through the Souks, which connect the building with the Dubai Mall. This will allow you to appreciate the symmetry of the hotel’s facade. The lobby is extremely stunning, and visitors who are not staying at the hotel can stop by for a drink or a meal at one of the restaurants. My favorite restaurant in the area is Thiptara Thai Restaurant, which is linked to the hotel and offers an incredible view of the Dubai Fountain Show.

16. Take a Boat Ride at Madinat Jumeirah

In the event that you find yourself on Jumeirah Beach, make a point of stopping by the Madinat Jumeirah for a classic boat ride down the shoreline. There are several restaurants and beach clubs in this region where you may stop for a drink and a bite to eat. The fact that this is a primarily residential area of town makes it a wonderful place to check out if you’re thinking about relocating to Dubai (remember, the United Arab Emirates offers some excellent tax incentives!) If you’re thinking about making the journey to the center of the world, there are several excellent movers and packers in Dubai who can assist you.

17. Book a Room with a View

The greatest way to see Dubai is often from your hotel window or balcony, so make sure to request a room with a view when booking your stay. Some of the most spectacular vistas may frequently be found in the Dubai business area, which is not often considered a top destination for leisure travelers. This picture is from the Shangri-La Downtown Dubai, which is more of a business hotel than a resort, but it has unquestionably one of the nicest views of Dubai!

18. Eat a Milkshake for Lunch

For years, this small treasure has been on my gourmet bucket list in New York, but the lines have always been so lengthy that I’ve always ended up going with a second option somewhere else instead. My vacation to Dubai seemed predestined as soon as I learned that Black Tap had established a restaurant in the city. In addition to their milkshakes (which may cost up to $25 AUD in Dubai), they also serve up an exceptionally tasty burger at their location in Dubai. It’s not inexpensive, but what else is there to do in Dubai, if anything?

A milkshake will set you back $18 USD, but it’s well worth it in the end.

19. See Dubai From Above

One of the adventures in Dubai that I have yet to attempt is also one of the most popular — a helicopter trip above the city to get a bird’s eye view of the Palm Jumeirah. Although not cheap, this is another excellent way to see Dubai from above and get a birdseye view of the city (a less expensive option would be to climb to the top of the Burj Khalifa and hope for clear skies!)Location: Heli DubaiPrice: 12 minutes for $180 USD per person (a cheaper option would be to climb to the top of the Burj Khalifa and hope for clear skies!)

20. Spot Wildlife in the Dubai Desert

Taking part in a wildlife safari in the desert, where you may spot the elusive Oryx and Gazelle, is another activity that I would definitely suggest. It took me three trips to Dubai before I was able to actually accomplish this, but it has to be one of my favorite experiences! The location is the Dubai Desert.

21. Check out the Atlantis the Palm Hotel

The Atlantis Hotel, one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks, is a must-see for every tourist to the city, and it is included in most visitors’ Dubai itineraries. The hotel is frequently booked and does not come cheaply, but the good news is that you may pay a visit to the property without having to stay there. If you are not a hotel guest, you will only be permitted to enter the restricted parts of the property (like the Aquaventure park, Lost Chambers, shopping area and restaurants). The Atlantis on the Palm in Dubai is the location.

22. Make a Day Trip to Abu Dhabi

The cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi are so close together that failing to take at least a day excursion to the neighboring city of Abu Dhabi will be a disservice to your travel experience in the UAE. I would recommend paying a visit to the Grand Mosque (which is truly a site to see), the Emirates Palace (which is well worth seeing), and, if you haven’t already, taking a trip out to the desert. Here are some fantastic activities to participate in to make the most of your trip.

Burj Khalifa

Dubai is renowned for its stunning buildings, and towering above them all is the Burj Khalifa, which is fashioned like a deep-space rocket and is the world’s tallest structure at 828 meters. Visit the observation deck, which is located on the 124th level (1483ft) and gives spectacular views of downtown, which is the most popular method to take in the breathtaking views that this building has to offer. Additionally, tickets for “At the Top Sky” may be purchased on the 148th level, which is the world’s tallest outdoor observation deck at 1820ft and is available for purchase.

For visitors on foggy days, it is recommended that they arrive late at night.

Al Fahidi Historic District

Wandering through Bur Dubai’s renovated historical neighborhood offers a palpable feeling of the region’s old architecture and culture, which is particularly appealing. Al Fahidi Historic District’s calm maze of alleyways is flanked by low-lying traditional courtyard structures, many of which are decorated with arabesque windows, gypsum screens, and wind towers, among other architectural features. Craft stores, tiny historical museums, art galleries, artistic guesthouses, and cafés selling local delicacies, such as Middle Eastern breakfasts and camel milk smoothies, may be found in several of these locations.

Dubai Miracle Garden

When you visit Dubai Miracle Garden, which is more than 2000 square meters in size and is billed as the world’s biggest natural flower garden, you’ll be transported to an Alice in Wonderland-like dreamlike world. Wander past quirky bloom-covered peacocks, clocks, and castles, or relax in a cabana with billowing drapes and floor cushions. Home to 100 million flowers and adjacent to the enormous nine-dome Dubai Butterfly Garden, it is incredibly popular, attracting 55,000 visitors per week at the peak of the season.

Shop ’til you drop

Throughout Dubai, shopping malls are an essential component of the city’s culture and way of life. Malls are more than just places to spend your money on designer clothes, electronics, and gourmet foods; they’re also places where locals congregate to socialize in cafés and restaurants, watch movies in state-of-the-art multiplexes, and get their adrenaline fix at an indoor theme park or game arcade, among other things. Dubai Mall, the largest and most impressive of the lot, houses not only more than 1300 stores but also a massive aquarium, an indoor ice rink, and a genuine dinosaur skeleton, among other attractions.

Every year, it takes place in January, and there are significant discounts at the souqs and malls to celebrate.

Mushrif National Park

Mushrif National Park is one of the oldest parks in Dubai, and it has more than 5 square kilometers of natural ghaf forest. Mushrif, which lies around 15 kilometers east of the city center, is a paradise for birds, including owls, Orphean warblers, hoopoes, and black redstarts, among other species.

The park, which was established in 1974, also has a variety of man-made attractions, such as walking routes and cycling tracks, a huge children’s playground, a swimming pool, and BBQ pits, among others.

Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, which spans 225 square kilometers on the fringes of Sharjah, accounts for 5% of the total land area of the Emirate of Dubai. Established in 1999, the reserve has been involved in programs to restore mountain gazelles, sand gazelles, and Arabian oryx, among other species. The Al Maha Desert ResortSpa, which was built for superluxe ecotourism and is located within the reserve, is a great place to stay. In all, the reserve is separated into four zones, the third of which is only available to resort guests and the fourth of which is only open to a small number of desert tour operators, includingArabian Adventures, who provide a less expensive entrance option than staying at the resort over the weekend.

IMG Worlds of Adventure

This year, Dubai welcomed four new theme parks to its roster of attractions, including IMG Worlds of Adventure, which is the world’s largest indoor theme park. More than 20 rides and attractions are spread across four themed zones, including Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure, and IMG Boulevard. The park is housed in an air-conditioned hangar that is the size of 28 football fields, and it is absolutely stunning. There are 28 dining establishments to select from, ensuring that you will not go hungry.

Etihad Museum

The strikingEtihad Museum, which opened in 2017 and engages visitors by chronicling the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971, driven on by the discovery of oil in the 1950s and the exit of the British from the country in 1968, is a must-see. In the years running up to and soon following this historic occasion, documentaries, images, relics, timelines, and interactive exhibits focus on significant historical events, and they pay honor to the country’s seven founding fathers. Tours of the neighboring circular Union House, which served as the site of the historic signing of the Constitution of the United Arab Emirates, are offered for a small fee on request.

Gold Souq

If you’re looking for a taste of the Arabian Nights, come to Dubai’s historic centre and dive headfirst into the city’s deliciously chaotic maze of marketplaces. The glistening Gold Souq is the city’s most recognizable landmark. Even if you are not a fan of bling, a stroll around this area will make you feel as if you have entered a big Aladdin’s Cave. It’s entertaining to simply sit back and watch the action, especially in the evening. No matter if you’re shopping for teeny earrings, a wedding ring, or a dowry-worthy necklace, you should practice your haggling abilities if you’re purchasing something.

White Dubai

With so much diversity, choosing a party spot that suits your mood in Dubai isn’t difficult. Dazzling rooftop bars, chilled seaside cafes, traditional pubs, hip karaoke establishments, speakeasy-style nightclubs, and live-music venues are just a few of the options.

White Dubai is one of the most popular destinations for midnight activities. The mega-venue, complete with stunning lighting and sound equipment, is located directly on top of the grandstand at Meydan Racecourse in Abu Dhabi.

Desert escapes

In addition to its craggy mountains, undulating sand dunes, and vast open spaces, the Arabian desert emanates an ethereal mysticism that may be readily experienced on a day journey from the urbanized city of Dubai. Numerous tour providers may arrange for you to participate in activities ranging from camel treks to sandboarding and overnight safaris. Most of the finest ones provide a real glimpse into local culture through interactions with Bedouins and traditional cuisine. Alternatively, try renting a 4WD and staying at a desert resort so that you may take your time and enjoy the breathtaking landscape at your own pace while exploring the area.

Dubai Museum

A well-organized introduction to the history of the emirate is provided by the Dubai Museum, which is housed in Al Fahidi Fort, Bur Dubai’s oldest remaining structure and the city’s oldest surviving structure. Be amazed at how quickly it has transformed from a small desert village to a futuristic city in less than a third of a century. Diverse exhibits depict classic scenarios at a market, in a house, and in the mosque, while other galleries depict life at sea and in the desert, respectively.

Dubai Design District

With its cutting-edge architecture, modern eateries, public art, galleries, and a thriving cultural calendar, this magnet for creatives entices people from across the world. By visiting showrooms and pop-up stores, eavesdropping on bearded hipsters in elegant cafés and galleries, viewing art exhibits in building lobbies, and participating in free films and workshops, visitors to Dubai Design District can immerse themselves in this laboratory of tastemakers. There is a comprehensive program of seminars, workshops, masterclasses, and children’s activities during the week-long Dubai Design Week, which takes place there in November each year.

Dubai Butterfly Garden

If you want to learn more about these beautiful flying insects, pay a visit to the Dubai Butterfly Museum, which is conveniently located adjacent to the Dubai Miracle Garden. There are over 15,000 butterflies fluttering around nine indoor domed gardens, and you can watch firsthand how they develop from larvae to their flying adaptations. Not to be missed is the Butterfly and Insect Museum, which has in-depth study and information about hundreds of beautiful butterfly species from all over the world.

Museum of Illusions

TheMuseum of Illusionsin theAl Seefdistrict, which opened its doors in 2018, is quickly becoming a favorite destination for families and Instagram enthusiasts alike. Children will enjoy the more than 150 optical illusions, which include rooms of mirrors, warped perspective, and a variety of other optical illusions, while their parents will enjoy taking amusingly crazy photographs.

Try to avoid going on weekends if at all possible, because the number of guests is limited and you may have to wait your turn.

Jumeirah Mosque

Jumeirah Mosque, which is snowy white and elaborately designed, is Dubai’s most beautiful mosque and one of just a handful of mosques in the United Arab Emirates that is available to non-Muslim visitors. During the evenings, it is very lovely, and guests are permitted to enter six days a week. The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding offers one-hour guided tours, and while modest dress is advised, traditional garb can be rented for no charge from the Sheikh Mohammed Centre.

Dubai Fountain

It’s all about the dance. The Dubai Fountain, which is placed in the center of a massive lake and against the backdrop of the shimmering Burj Khalifa, is a sight to behold. In time with stirring classical, Arabic, and world music soundtracks broadcast on speakers, the water undulates elegantly like a belly dancer and arcs like a dolphin as high as 140 meters. Several excellent observation spots are available, including a floating walkway that runs for 272 meters and brings you just 9 meters away from the fountain.

The Dubai Fountain Show, which features dancing fountains, is a tremendously famous tourist attraction.

Emirates Airline Festival of Literature

For more than a decade, the annual Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has brought together writers and thousands of book enthusiasts to celebrate all things literary and reading. The festival, which takes place over nine days in March, includes speeches, discussions, panels, and a special children’s program, with many of the activities being free to attend. It provides guests with the opportunity to interact with local and internationally renowned authors, participate in literary discussions and seminars, and be inspired by their literary idols, among other things.

Global Village

Thousands of book aficionados, writers, and other book enthusiasts gather each year for the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which has been ongoing for almost a decade. Speaking engagements, panels and a special children’s program are all part of the festival, which takes place over nine days in March and offers many events for free. In addition to meeting local and internationally renowned writers, participating in literary discussions and workshops, and being inspired by their literary idols, visitors will have the opportunity to win prizes in contests.

Burj Al Arab

Built on an artificial island, this famous luxury hotel is distinguished by its dramatic architecture, which is inspired by the billowing sail of a ship. It has become an iconic emblem of Dubai’s boom years. There are dancing fountains, gold fittings, gleaming marble and whirlpool spas that your butler may fill with champagne if you so choose at the Burj Al Arab’s interior, which is all about impact, drama and shameless bling.

When it comes to extravagance, even if a stay is out of reach for your budget, you can still enjoy in it by making appointments for drinks, afternoon tea, or supper in the undersea restaurant.

Before being transported to a viewing platform on the roof of Dubai Frame, guests will be taken through galleries on the ground floor of the building (the present). At the end of the tour is another exhibit that depicts a vision of Dubai fifty years in the future (the future).

Kite Beach

Off Jumeirah Road and near to a mosque, this lengthy stretch of white sandy beach is exceptionally clean and offers a wide range of sports, including kitesurfing, beach tennis and volleyball. Kayaking is also available here. On Kite Beach, you’ll find showers, wi-fi, restrooms, and changing facilities, as well as a plethora of food trucks and cafés. It has excellent views of the Burj Al Arab and becomes quite crowded on Friday and Saturday mornings when a beachside market with crafts and souvenirs is set up nearby.

Perfume Museum

The water’s edge is a good place to start. The Scent Museum is a part of the Al Shindagha Museum restoration project, and it was formerly the residence of a Dubai sheikha who was passionate about all things related to perfume. The historic structure has been repaired, and the interactive displays focusing on aroma, odors, and fragrance have been created for visitors. Keep your admittance ticket safe, and you’ll be able to use it to get free entry to the neighboring Dubai Creek House.

Spice Souk

The hum of Arabic conversation vibrates along the aisles of this covered market, which is just a few steps away from the Deira Old Souk abra station. The world-famous Spice Souks in Dubai are a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and fragrances. Vendors toil tirelessly to unload cardamom, saffron, and other aromatic plants that have been photogenically placed in burlap bags next to nuts, incense burners, henna kits, shishas, and dried limes, among other items. Food and other household items are available in little stores that are located away from the tourist-oriented main street.
